A new European Union summit may be convened to approve measures to reduce the cost of energy, President of the European Council Charles Michel said in an interview with the French radio station France Inter, Report informs.
“The idea is that in November we will already agree on measures. I personally pledged to closely monitor the work of the ministers. If necessary, we will meet again at the highest level,” he said.
According to Michel, the EU member states have agreed on a dynamic price ceiling, but the relevant ministers will develop detailed agreements on restrictions.
The first meeting of the energy ministers will be held on October 25.
