Energy Minister: Concept of 'green energy' zone in Karabakh almost ready

The concept of introducing a "green energy" zone in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan is almost ready, said Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, as quoted by Report.

"The document is currently at the stage of approval by the government. As you know, President Ilham Aliyev has declared the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions 'green energy' zones and instructed the Ministry of Energy in this regard. This concept will allow us to generate electricity in the region at the expense of renewable energy sources and apply high technologies, 'green technologies' to consumers," he noted.
