Italian official stresses utmost importance of Southern Gas Corridor for Italy and Europe

The Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) is of utmost importance for Italy and Europe, Vannia Gava, Italy's Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Ecological Transition, told a conference held within the Baku Energy Forum.
She said Italy works to diversify its energy supplies, especially gas.
The official also stressed the importance of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). She reminded that the supplies via this pipeline were increased to 7.2 billion cubic meters, adding that work is underway towards the second phase of increasing TAP's capacity to 20 billion cubic meters of gas.
