Deputy minister: Azerbaijan is example of how oil and gas country is working on transition to renewables

Azerbaijan is an example of how an oil and gas country is working on the transition to renewable energy, Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov said at the opening ceremony of the 17th Baku Summer Energy School, Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijan is one of the best countries where experience can be gained in the energy sector: “Azerbaijan has passed several stages of energy transition, and today, is working on the transition to renewable energy sources.”

He noted that even at the summer school, the students themselves will be able to observe the rapid development of the country's energy sector.
