BTC oil transportation through Turkiye increases by 14%

In April 2022, 18.935 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkiye via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, up 2.328 million barrels or 14.02% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.
In January-April 2022, the BTC pipeline pumped 69.713 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, a growth of 1.108 million barrels or 1.6% from the first two months of 2021.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
