An Azerbaijani-Turkish-European energy hub will be created in 2025-2026, Report informs, citing the Strategy of Socio-Economic Development of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026 approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
The strategy notes that the energy hub, which will stretch from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkiye and from there to Europe, will be created by Azerenergy OJSC.
The creation of an Azerbaijani-Turkish-European energy hub involves the construction of one transformer (HVDC) substation and the laying of a 230-kilometer double-turn line of 400 kV.
That will help establish direct energy export from Azerbaijan to Turkiye.
