Azerbaijan starts buying 95 RON gasoline from five countries

Last year, Azerbaijan purchased 147,412.23 tons of 95 RON (Premium) motor gasoline for $111.106 million from abroad, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 90% more in value and 52% more in quantitative terms than in the previous year.

During the reporting period, 65,607.82 tons of motor gasoline were imported from Romania for $51.490 million, 51,933.17 tons for $36.048 million from Russia, 7,988 tons for $6.653 million from Turkey, 6,925.54 tons for $5.233 million from Turkmenistan, 4,995.48 tons for $4.191 million from Cyprus, 4,931.32 tons for $4.121 million from Greece, 4,471.04 tons for $2.967 million from Iran, 559.32 tons for $399,150 from Georgia.

Deliveries of RON 95 gasoline from Greece resumed after a two-year break, and from Georgia after a six-year break. Last year, Azerbaijan began to buy gasoline of this brand from Turkey, Turkmenistan and Cyprus for the first time in the last ten years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access until 2011).
