Azerbaijan sees 76% rise in revenue from polyethylene exports

According to customs declarations, in January-February this year, Azerbaijan exported 24,371 tons of polyethylene in primary forms worth $ 23.616 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee, respectively, down 5,193 tons (27.07%) and up $ 10.10 million (76%) from the same period last year.

Over the past two months, the share of polyethylene in exports in the non-oil sector was 7.1% and in primary forms was 0.85%.

Azerbaijan offers low and high-density polyethylene. Low-density polyethylene is made at the Ethylene-Polyethylene Plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Azerkimya Production Association. High-density polyethylene is produced at the plant of the same name by SOCAR Polymer LLC, which was commissioned in February last year.
