Azerbaijan’s carbamide exports rise tenfold

In November 2021, Azerbaijan exported nitrogen fertilizer worth $23.6 million, Report informs citing the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.
In November 2020, Azerbaijan did not export carbamide.
In January-November 2021, the carbamide exports stood at $93.4 million, up $84.4 million or 10.38-fold from the previous year.
The nitrogen fertilizer is produced in the SOCAR Carbamide Plant, of which the production capacity is 650-660,000 tonnes of carbamide using 435 million cubic meters of natural gas. The Plant was put into operation on January 16, 2019. 70% of the production is for export.
