Azerbaijan resumes polyethylene import from 6 countries

Last year, Azerbaijan exported 120,000 tons of polyethylene (primary form with a specific gravity of less than 0.94 and more than 0.94) worth $146.623 million.
According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 16% less in value and 14% in quantitative terms compared to 2021.
Some 34,225 tons (-32%) of polyethylene were shipped from Azerbaijan to Russia for $51.731 million (-25%), 40,582 tons (+40%) for $45 million (+27%) were sent to Türkiye, 29,565 tons (+5.7%) for $28.877 million (+2.2) to China.
During the reporting period, 47,503 tons (+74%) of polyethylene were imported to Azerbaijan for $65.377 million (+81%).
Azerbaijan has resumed imports of polyethylene from the UK, China, Spain, Switzerland, Qatar and Poland.
