Azerbaijan resumes gasoline imports from 2 countries

In January-October this year, Azerbaijan imported 129,392 tons of AI-95 (Premium) motor gasoline for $96.297 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 2.3 times growth in value terms, and 82.35% in quantitative terms from the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 49,604 tons were imported from Romania for $38.245 million, from Russia – 49,916 tons for $34.486 million, from Turkey – 7,988 tons for $6.653 million, from Turkmenistan – 6,925 tons for $5.234 million, from Cyprus - 4,995 tons for $4.191 million, from Greece - 4,931 tons for $4.121 million, from Iran - 4,471 tons for $2.967 million, from Georgia - 559.32 tons for $399,150.

Deliveries from Romania increased 2.1 times and 2.8 times, respectively, from Russia - by 21.55% or 41.45%, from Iran - by 94.1% and 85.92%. After a two-year hiatus, deliveries of AI-95 gasoline resumed from Greece, after a six-year hiatus - from Georgia. Over the past ten years, gasoline of this brand (official statistics on foreign trade in the public domain as of 2011) hasn’t been imported from Turkey, Turkmenistan and Cyprus.
