Azerbaijan restores antifreeze imports from two countries

In January-August 2023, Azerbaijan imported 2,772 tons (46% more year-on-year) of antifreeze for $3.85 million (41.4% more year-on-year), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 1,212 tons (+67%) of antifreeze for $1 million (+44%) from Russia, 301 tons (+46%) for $776,000 (+45%) from Germany, 464 (+79%) for $679,000 (+46%) from Türkiye, 141 tons (+23%) for $350,000 (+15%) from Belgium, and 240 tons (-33%) for $287,000 (-12%) from Ukraine.

Azerbaijan resumed antifreeze imports from Taiwan (950 kg worth $2,140) after three years and six months, from Greece (100 kg worth $200) after three years and three months.

Some 40% of the 4,000 tons of antifreeze brought to Azerbaijan from 31 countries last year were purchased from Russia, and 20% from Türkiye.
