Azerbaijan reduces oil production by 6% in 2022

Azerbaijan produced 32.6 million tons of oil (including condensate) in 2022, down 2 million tons or 5.8% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Energy Ministry.
Of this, 20.4 million tons of oil were extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and 4.4 million tons (condensate) from Shah Deniz. Compared to a year earlier, ACG production dropped by 2.1 million tons, or 9.3%, while Shah Deniz condensate rose by 0.2 million tons, or 4.8%.
SOCAR extracted 7.8 million tons of oil in the reporting period, down 0.1 million tons or 1.3% from a year ago.
