Azerbaijan posts 20% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In January–October 2023, Azerbaijan exported 8,609,310,000 cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 20.1% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In October alone, the gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye made up 718.91 million cubic meters, down 5.53% from a year earlier.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked second among the countries supplying gas to Türkiye, with a share of 21.4% in the country’s gas market.

In October, Türkiye imported 3,358.23 million cubic meters of gas, showing a 3.71% growth compared to the same period in 2022.

Russia ranked first by exporting 1,985.99 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye in October 2023, which is 2.1 times more than in the same period of 2022.

Algeria ranked third with the export of 448.98 million cubic meters of gas, up 29.17% from 2022.
