Azerbaijan, Pakistan to sign agreement on fuel supply

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Pakistan's Cabinet has approved the signing of a Sale and Purchase Agreement between Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for the supply of petroleum products, Report informs referring to a statement from Pakistan's government press service.

The decision was made by the committee at a meeting chaired by Pakistan's Minister of Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb, on November 4.

"A summary from the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) was also presented, seeking approval for the Sale Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the supply of POL products between Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and SOCAR Azerbaijan. The ECC approved the signing of the SPA," reads the statement.

SOCAR has now established cooperation with Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) under a framework agreement for LNG supplies to Pakistan.
