Azerbaijan meets 85% of Georgia’s need for oil bitumen

In January-February 2021, Georgia imported 4,400 tonnes of oil bitumen from Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to Georgian Union of Petroleum Products Importers.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan met 84.6% of Georgia’s need for oil bitumen.
Over the past two months, Georgia imported 5,200 tonnes of oil bitumen, up 2,500 tonnes or 32.5% from a year earlier.
According to the Union, the decline in bitumen supply was caused by COVID-19 and restrictions.
