Azerbaijan designates land in Jabrayil district for renewable energy

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree designating a state-owned land plot in the administrative territory of Jabrayil District as a renewable energy sources (RES) territory.

Report informs that according to the decree 229 hectares of state-owned land in the Jabrayil District, which is part of the East Zangazur Economic Region, have been allocated for the construction of a solar power plant with an initial capacity of 50 MW and a total capacity of 100 MW.

With this latest allocation, the total area of land designated for the construction of the solar power plant has reached 1,169 hectares.
