Azerbaijan exported 6.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe in the first half of 2024, marking a 12.3% or 0.7 billion cubic meters of year-on-year increase, Report informs, citing the country’s Energy Ministry.
Overall, Azerbaijan exported 12.7 billion cubic meters of gas in the first half of the current year, which is 6% more than in the corresponding period of 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 5 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, and 1.3 billion cubic meters to Georgia. These figures did not change from the first half of last year.
In January-June of 2024, about 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is the same year-on-year.
