Atsuko Hirose: Azerbaijan has resources to ensure energy transition

Azerbaijan has all resources to ensure energy transition, Atsuko Hirose, Deputy Secretary General and Acting Secretary General of the Energy Charter Secretariat, told Report.
She said Azerbaijan is pursuing the energy transition very pragmatically, according to Report.
"I think the country is fully taking advantage of natural endowment it has in a very well-thought-out, considerate way," she said.
Atsuko Hirose also stressed the important of the COP29 session due in Baku in November.
" And our treaty (the Energy Charter Treaty - ed.), hopefully by the time of COP, will be amended further to really make it further consistent with the Paris Agreement.
