Ambassador: Hungary interested in importing Azerbaijani gas

Hungary is interested in importing Azerbaijani gas, Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Viktor Szederkenyi said, Report informs.
He noted that the current gas crisis in Europe further emphasizes this need.
“We are interested in importing 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan. The work in this direction is already underway,” the ambassador said.
He expressed hope that by 2023 it will be possible to start deliveries of gas, and the Hungarian side is already negotiating with SOCAR in this regard.
