The Ambassador of Pakistan visited Baku Higher Oil School

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan His Excellency Mr. Saeed Khan Mohmand paid a courtesy visit to Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and met with the Rector of the Higher School Elmar Gasimov.

During the meeting, Rector Gasimov broadly informed about the BHOS and, while discussing the current bilateral relations between two countries, specifically emphasized the importance of cooperation in the education sector. Proposing the Higher School’s scholarship for one student from Pakistan, the Rector pointed out that the Pakistani students would be pleased to study in BHOS starting from the next Academic Year.

Ambassador Saeed Khan Mohmand extended his gratitude to the Rector for the warm welcome. He stressed that Pakistan and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries and the bilateral relations make regular progress and continue to develop.

The Ambassador also appreciated the role of the Higher School in nurturing qualified specialists in the areas that are of paramount importance for the region and praised the accomplishments achieved by the BHOS students. The Ambassador spoke about vigorous efforts made between the both countries to expand cooperation in the education sector and thanked the rector for offering the scholarship opportunity.
