Students transfer to be carried in Azerbaijan from February 1

Baku. 15 January. REPORT.AZ/ The electronic admission of documents will be launched from February 1 on transferring of students from universities located within the country or abroad, or changing faculty, as well as relocating students of secondary specialized educational institutions and students studying at master’s degree, Report informs citing the Ministry of Education.

Admission of documents to be carried through transfer.edu.az will continue until February 7. Those applying to the portal will have the opportunity to choose the educational institution where they want to relocate. Thus, students can fill all required information and can determine whether they meet the criteria for relocation.

The portal transfer.edu.az, created within the framework of joint activities with the Ministry of Education and the State Examination Center, serves to simplify the relocating process of students and to ensure transparency.

Relocation of students is carried out during winter and summer holidays with the consent of the Ministry of Education. The student’s score in entrance exams held by the State Examination Center, should be no less than the minimum pass score required on the relevant specialty in the universities where he or she wants to be transferred. All the same, the specialty chosen for the transfer by the student must be within the same specialty group as defined by the State Examination Center.

In line with the rules, students from non-accredited higher educational institutions of foreign countries and students of home study schools in other countries are not allowed to be transferred. Moreover, if the university is among the top universities of the world, it can also influence the process.

Students who are transferred through the transfer.edu.az portal do not have the right to refuse from the designated university or specialty.
