Number of foreigners studying in Azerbaijan announced

For the 2022-2023 academic year, about 8,900 foreigners and stateless persons from 110 countries are studying in higher and secondary special education institutions of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Science and Education.
This means a 20% increase compared to last year (7,332 people) and a 103% increase compared to the 2015/16 academic year (4,326 people).
Students are mainly from Turkiye, Iran, Georgia, Pakistan, Russia, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Syria, and other countries.
