Education Ministry: State to pay for education on double degree programs

"Owing to the establishment of double degree programs, students will be able to obtain education in Azerbaijan according to world standards, and the state will pay for their education," chief of department at the Ministry of Azerbaijan Nijat Mammadli said speaking at the presentation devoted to expectations from the “State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".

According to him, work has already begun on the establishment of double degree programs: "Financing of education abroad at the doctoral level is envisaged. The legal acts prepared under the State Program are submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers."

Mammadli noted that this year the education under this program will be paid from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan.
