Ministry official: Higher education programs will be applied in colleges

Baku. 21 November. REPORT.AZ/ "It is envisaged to apply higher education programs in secondary specialized education schools (colleges) in the future".

Report informs,Yagub Piriyev, Chief of Education Ministry Department for Science, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, said at a seminar on "Higher education expectations".

Department Chief said that currently classification of qualifications is under development: "In the future, classification of higher education qualifications should be transformed into classification of qualifications at colleges".

Touching upon the importance of identity of both classifications, Y. Piriyev noted that the goal is to ensure smooth transition to bachelor's degree: "It is necessary to coordinate the programs so that credits recognized during transition from secondary specialized education to higher education and normal education periods in higher education reduced".
