Ministry of Education comments on dissatisfaction with student loans

The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan has commented on the dissatisfaction with a student loan, Report informs.

The ministry said that there is no certificate requirement for student loans.

According to the ministry, "ASAN login" is not required for people under 18 to register in the credit system: "They can register with a notary application number. There is also no necessity for points in the form of social credit. The standard type has 300 points for the first semester of the first year. The GPA is taken into account in subsequent semesters."

The Ministry stressed the Educational Student Loan Fund is a non-profit legal entity: "The purpose of the organization is not to make a profit but to ensure access to education for persons from low-income groups, create equal education opportunities, and expand the scope of education. One of the Fund's main goals is to stimulate students to study well. The interest rates are also low and symbolic. This can be compared to the interest rate on educational loans of domestic commercial banks or the terms of guarantors of other countries. As for the amount returned, you need to be careful when calculating.

"The absence of an academic deficit when applying for a loan is only a requirement for the last semester, and the presence in previous semesters is not a restriction."
