Mexico and Azerbaijan extend links in educational sphere

Baku. 29 November. REPORT.AZ/ In order to strengthen ties in the field of education, on November 29th, the Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan, Rodrigo Labardini, met with the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Economic University, Adalat Muradov, Report informs citing the press service of the Mexican embassy.

The Rector expressed his pleasure to hold a meeting with Ambassador Labardini again and provided new information on the cooperation of the University with foreign higher education centers. In this regard, he underlined the interest of the University in establishing and developing ties with its Mexican counterpart.

Ambassador Labardini mentioned that the bilateral relations between Mexico and Azerbaijan continue to be consolidated and its importance for strengthening the legal framework. He stressed that the signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the areas of education, science, youth, culture and sport opened new ways of cooperation in multiple areas.

In addition, the diplomat conveyed the interest of several Mexican universities that aspire to collaborate with higher education centers in Azerbaijan. The parties discussed various aspects of possible cooperation and pointed out the opportunities that both parties can offer. Along with that, an interest was expressed in promoting scientific projects and joint research, publication in the scientific media of both countries, as well as the exchange of professors and students at the baccalaureate and masters level.

The sides agreed  to establish a corresponding inter-university legal framework in order to strengthen cooperation and intensify contacts.
