Education Ministry: More than 50 Azerbaijanis graduated from top world universities in 2018

Baku. 26 December. REPORT.AZ/ This year, Azerbaijani citizens who graduated from the paramount universities of the world are among the graduates who apply to the Ministry of Education for recognition and equivalence of their specialty (nostrification).

Responding to the inquiry from Report, the ministry said more than 50 appeals have been received by the Ministry of Education on nostrification of diplomas from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Cambridge, Oxford University, Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov, Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University and other leading universities of the world.

It was noted that the vast majority of those appeals were met, while the other part of the proceedings are pending decision: "It should be taken into account that some of the graduates of these universities continue their studies abroad  and gain experience. They have not yet appealed to the Ministry of Education."

The Ministry also said that among the received appeals for nostrification this year, those who graduated from the state universities in foreign countries have predominated in comparison with private universities.
