Azerbaijan issues semiannual earthquake report

The Earthquake Research Bureau registered 5,303 (remote, regional, and Azerbaijani) tremors during the first six months of the year, Report informs, quoting the head of the bureau, Doctor of Philosophy in Earth Sciences Saida Ismayilova.

She said that, of them, 2,029 were local, 2,134 - regional and 1,140 - remote. In the first half of the year, seismologists recorded 47 earthquakes with a magnitude of more than 3 (ml> 3) in Azerbaijan and adjacent areas, 11 of which were palpable.
