Baku. 1 September. REPORT.AZ/  Elnur Niftaliyev, chief of department of public relations of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service), has clarified all issues related to the new generation ID cards.

According to Report, he said that the citizens can continue to use the unexpired and valid ID cards and that there is no need to change them.

Niftaliyev noted that it is important to get the new generation ID-card if the term of the old one is expired, or if it is damaged, if a citizen wants to change his name or surname or has lost the document.

He went on to say that today the documents admission is carried out at all ASAN service centers and Sumgayit regional ASAN Service centers. In the coming days ASAN Service centers will start admitting documents for issuing new generation ID-cards.

He noted that the state duty set for the issuance of the new generation ID card for citizens older than 15 has not changed.

"The state duty for issuing the ID-card in 10 days amounts to 5 manats, in 3 days - 25 manats, in 1 working day - 35 manats. The duties have been set for the issuance of new generation ID-cards to citizens below 15. They are defined at 4 manats if issued in 10 days, 20 manats if issued in 3 working days, and 25 manats if issued in one working day."
