Weather forecast for January 20 announced

Baku. 18 January. REPORT.AZ/ Weather forecast for January 20 in Azerbaijan has been announced.

Director of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological Forecasts of the Department of National Hydrometeorology at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Gulshad Mammadova told Report that that the weather will be changeable cloudy, occasionally gloomy and mainly rainless in Baku and Absheron peninsula.

According to her, weak fog is expected in some places in the morning. “North-west wind will be replaced by south-east wind in the daytime. The temperature will be - 2 C +1 at night, 5-8 C in the daytime."

Mammadova said that the weather will be mainly rainless in Azerbaijan's regions on January 20. "Fog is predicted in some places in the morning. East wind will blow. The temperature will be 0-5˚C at night, 7-12˚C in the daytime, 5-10˚C frost in the mountainous areas, while 0-3˚C in the daytime.

Notably, January 20 is celebrated as the National Day of Mourning in Azerbaijan.
