Mukhtar Babayev: Joint reforms needed to address carbon emissions

Joint reforms are needed to prevent the release of carbon gases into the atmosphere, Mukhtar Babayev, President of COP29, said on the second day of Baku Climate Action Week 2025 (BCAW2025), Report informs.
Babayev highlighted the urgency of halting carbon emissions: "If there are several factors accelerating climate change, carbon emissions are certainly among them. We need joint reforms. In addition, investment in the education system is essential. This is crucial to strengthen youth engagement in climate action."
The official also pointed out that healthcare plays a significant role in climate-related issues: "Partnerships should be expanded not only in education but also in the healthcare sector."
