French Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin accused Azerbaijan baselessly and noted that 1,500 active accounts in social networks united against the Paris colony. Why not?!, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament), Zahid Oruj said, Report informs.
He made the remark at the conference titled "French Polynesia's right to decolonization: challenges and perspectives" held at the Azerbaijani Parliament on May 30.
The chairman noted that Azerbaijan does not send secret financing with weapons, military equipment and spy networks to distant island states:
“Concerned about our moral and political support, French politicians and allies are calling to confiscate Azerbaijan's financial assets, show their teeth against our country, and almost call for nuclear weapons to be used in the South Caucasus.
Francois Bellamy, one of the ideologues and godmothers of exploitation, a member of the European Parliament, wrote on his X page today: 'How long will Aliyev be allowed to divide France?' As you can see, those who demanded freedom for Karabakh were ready to suppress the activity of any force that touched their colonies, to destroy political and media freedom.”
Oruj noted that the Initiative Group (BIG), which was established on July 6, 2023 in Baku, the capital of victory against French colonialism, is the beginning of a new wave against exploitation that has plagued the Caribbean, South America, and the Indian and Pacific Ocean regions for at least 150 years:
"We believe that this movement will be successful and will finally give the oppressed peoples the freedom they deserve. By ending the 44-day war with victory, we have become a shining, unparalleled example for oppressed peoples around the world. The brilliant victory of Azerbaijan plays an important role in the revival of the Polynesian movement for independence. Neocolonialism is doomed."
