Yushchenko: 'People of Azerbaijan were very lucky that their leader was Heydar Aliyev'

The national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, coped with the most challenging task - the formation of a nation, former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko said at an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, Report informs.

According to Yushchenko, the people of Azerbaijan were very lucky that Heydar Aliyev was their leader, who was able to maintain a balance in everything in the most difficult times.

Viktor Yushchenko noted that he had the honor to receive Heydar Aliyev in Ukraine when he was the head of the central bank of Ukraine and received an order to print the first national currency of Azerbaijan.
