Weather in Azerbaijan on first day of new year

Partly cloudy, occasionally overcast weather, mainly without precipitation, is expected on January 1 in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, Report informs referring to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

In the afternoon the southwestern wind will change to moderate northwestern.

The air temperature at night is expected to be 5-7°C, during the day 8-12°C. Atmospheric pressure will be above normal at 771 mm Hg, and relative humidity will be 70-80%.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will be mainly without precipitation, however, precipitation is possible at night in high mountainous areas, with fog in places. A moderate westerly wind will blow.

Air temperature at night will be 1-6°C, during the day 9-14°C, at night in the mountains 1-6° below zero, in high mountains 10-15° below zero, during the day 2-7°C.
