Terms for state registration of political parties being changed in Azerbaijan

Political parties with at least 10,000 members can be registered in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the initial version of the new draft law "On Political Parties."

The draft notes that for state registration, a political party must have at least 10,000 members.

The current law "On political parties" states that to register a political party, it must have at least 1,000 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan as its members.
