Street in Baku named after martyred journalist Maharram Ibrahimov

One of the streets in the Binagadi district of Baku has been named after martyred journalist Maharram Ibrahimov, martyr's brother Askar Ibrahimov told Report.

He said the head of the Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov made the decision based on the motion of the head of the Binagadi District Executive Power.

According to the decision, the street in Rasulzade settlement was named after Maharram Ibrahimov.

The opening of a spring in memory of the journalist was held at a cemetery in Mushfigabad on November 25.

A vehicle carrying journalists hit an anti-tank mine on June 4 in Susuzlug, Kalbajar region. As a result, AZERTAC correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, AZTV operator Siraj Abishov, and deputy head of the Kalbajar District Executive Power in the Susuzlug village Aliyev Arif Aghalar were killed, while four others were injured.

On June 14, President Ilham Aliyev awarded Abishov Siraj Abish Aliyev Arif Agalar and Ibrahimov Maharram Ali, who served in the liberated territories, with the 3rd-degree order "For Service to the Fatherland."
