Parliamentarian calls on public regarding Armenian vandalism in Yerevan

"We must do our best to convey the truths of Western Azerbaijan to the world," said Aziz Alakbarli, parliamentarian, chairman of the West Azerbaijan Community, and the author of the project 'Memory of Western Azerbaijan,' at the presentation of the research on "The fate of the Tepebashi quarter, the last remnant of Azerbaijan's national-cultural and historical heritage in the city of Yerevan: the destruction of the heritage of the Azerbaijani people in Armenia and the erasure of historical traces," Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijanis have always been the majority in the Tepebashi quarter, like other residential areas of Yerevan.

"However, at times, they were deported from Armenia, and the buildings belonging to them, as well as Muslim monuments in the city of Yerevan, became victims of Armenian vandalism. The atrocities committed by Armenians in the territory for the last 200 years should be brought to the attention of the world community. Each of us, the Azerbaijani diaspora and other institutions should actively work in this matter."
