Natives of Azerbaijan's liberated Zangilan celebrate Novruz holiday

A festive event has been organized on the occasion of Novruz in Aghali village of Azerbaijan’s liberated Zangilan district, Report informs.

A holiday bonfire and a concert was held with the participation of musicians.

Novruz preparations usually begin a month before the festival. Each of the forthcoming four weeks is devoted to one of the four elements and called accordingly in Azerbaijan. Each Tuesday, people celebrate the day of one of the four elements - water, fire, wind and earth.

Novruz holiday was included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage on September 30, 2009.
