MP: Ilham Aliyev sees interests of Azerbaijani state and people as highest goal 

The interview of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, to the CNN Turk TV channel attracts attention with essential points and challenges. With this interview, President Aliyev once again expressed the position of victorious Azerbaijan, MP Javid Osmanov told Report.

According to him, President Ilham Aliyev is a founder, unifier, and a leader, who fulfills all the wishes of the Azerbaijani people: "He sees the interests of the Azerbaijani state and people as the highest goal in his policy and mobilizes all his forces in this direction, and is unequivocally supported, and trusted by the people. Years ago, President Ilham Aliyev declared that Azerbaijan would not accept Armenia's policy of aggression. He stressed that Azerbaijan would not let Armenia build the second Armenian state in our lands, and raised our voice of truth and justice at numerous international summits and conferences. As a result of the heroism and bravery of the soldiers and officers and leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, occupation of our lands by the enemy came to an end during the 44-day Patriotic War. Under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army defeated the enemy during the 44-day Patriotic War and cleared our lands of invaders. By restoring the territorial integrity of our country, President Ilham Aliyev has executed the will of national leader Heydar Aliyev and fulfilled the wish of the Azerbaijani people."

Osmanov noted that a new era has begun for Azerbaijan today: "Azerbaijan has opened a new page in its modern history with its historic victory.

As is known, Armenians have destroyed and plundered all the infrastructure in these lands. Now, Karabakh and East Zangazur are being reconstructed in a planned way and at a maximum speed. As Ilham Aliyev noted in his interview, time is the main rival in completing the restoration and reconstruction work. We need time to return. Because Armenians have destroyed those places for 30 years, and today, of course, it takes time to restore them. However, systematic work is being done to ensure the return of our citizens as soon as possible. The first pilot project is already underway. A project connecting three villages in the Zangilan district will be completed by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

The MP said that one of the important points in the interview of President Ilham Aliyev was a serious warning to Armenia and its supporters: "The President of Azerbaijan reiterated that all the requirements of the Trilateral Declaration signed on November 10, 2020, must be met. Of course, the "Iron Fist" is in place, the Azerbaijani state is able to prevent any provocative attempts and illegal activities of Armenia. As our Supreme Commander-in-Chief said, "If Armenian fascism tries to rise again, we will crush its head again. Defeat in the war should be a lesson for them."

Touching upon Azerbaijan-Turkey relations during the interview, President Ilham Aliyev once again demonstrated our unity, solidarity, brotherhood, indivisibility, and solidarity. The head of state said that over the past 18 years, both Turkey and Azerbaijan have formed a common policy. Recalling the words of national leader Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states," the head of state noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish unity is eternal. He pointed out that the Turkish-Azerbaijani union is already a regional factor and may one day become a global factor because allied relations with other countries are now being formed. Some are worried about this. Therefore, they will try to commit provocations. Today, the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are based on solid foundations and are an example for the world. We can surely say that our relations, which are an example of friendship, unity, and progress for the whole world, will last forever," Osmanov said.
