"In the 44-day Patriotic War, Azerbaijan won the brightest victory in its history. It formed new realities in the region by liberating its territories from the enemy," MP, member of the board of the New Azerbaijan Party Javid Osmanov told Report.
According to him, some circles can not accept the victory of Azerbaijan and carry out smear campaigns with ridiculous allegations: "Recently, Iran has been making baseless accusations against Azerbaijan. But every time, it gets into a ridiculous situation and continues to get slaps. President Ilham Aliyev recently visited the liberated territories and touched upon some critical issues. He noted that no third state forces, especially Israeli forces, have been deployed in Azerbaijan. If there is such a case, Iran should provide its own evidence. But as there is no such a fact, Iran puts itself in a ridiculous position."
Osmanov also commented on the unfounded allegations made by the Iranian Foreign Minister about Azerbaijan: "The Iranian FM voiced complaints about Azerbaijan as soon as he landed at the airport in Moscow. In doing so, he showed that he did not know the rules of diplomatic ethics, and as soon as he arrived in one country, he put himself in a ridiculous position by complaining about another. At a press conference in Moscow, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov responded harshly to Iran's baseless allegations against Azerbaijan and the Iranian journalist's question about holding joint Azerbaijani-Turkish-Pakistani exercises. Lavrov expressed concern over Iran's military activities on the border with Azerbaijan. Moscow's position has once again shown Iran that it will not be possible to provoke other countries in the region by making baseless accusations."
"During his visit to the liberated territories, President Ilham Aliyev praised brotherly Turkey and friendly Russia, noting that they would contribute to lasting peace. It would be better for Iran to give up its bias and start pursuing its policy following the new realities. Instead of interfering in Azerbaijan's internal affairs, Iran should try to solve its problems. Because Azerbaijan is a country pursuing an independent policy under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev. Let everyone understand that no state can interfere in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, otherwise Azerbaijan can prevent it," Osmanov stressed.
