In the next phase, it is planned to carry out exhumation work in Khankandi and nearby areas, Elif Guney Eskikoy, Coordinator of Forensic Expertise of the International Committee of the Red Cross, told a briefing held for media representatives, Report informs.
She said that Azerbaijan needs about 10 years to complete the exhumation work: “Removing a human skeleton in its entirety has a positive effect on conducting laboratory work. No DNA analysis can give 100 percent results. If the skeleton is removed intactly, results can be obtained based on two samples. If the bones are scattered, laboratory tests can take a long time.”
