Historian: Yerevan city and its cultural heritage should be treated folllowing international conventions

"The city of Yerevan and its cultural heritage should be treated within the framework of international conventions," said Fariz Khalili, chairman of the Miras Social Organization in Support of Studying Cultural Heritage, PhD in history, at the presentation of the research on "The fate of the Tepebashi quarter, the last remnant of Azerbaijan's national-cultural and historical heritage in the city of Yerevan: the destruction of the heritage of the Azerbaijani people in Armenia and the erasure of historical traces," Report informs.

Khalili stressed the importance of monitoring the fact-finding missions of international organizations, including UNESCO, regarding the current state of this heritage, promoting the documentation and protection of the results, and supporting academic activities for understanding the historical truths of the Caucasus, especially its last two thousand years, for the sake of peace.
