Fikrat Mammadov: Azerbaijani judicial reforms received int’l recognition

“Our judicial reforms have received international recognition. Azerbaijan received the Crystal Scales of Justice award by the Council of Europe, and projects to modernize the justice system implemented jointly with the World Bank won in various nominations,” Azerbaijani minister of justice, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov said in an article published in the Khalq newspaper, according to Report.

“The procedure for selecting judges, which is distinguished by transparency, has been assessed as best practice by the Council of Europe and the European Union and recommended to other countries,” the minister stressed.
