Family members of persons missing in First Karabakh War travel to Shusha

Family members of persons missing in the First Karabakh War are in Azerbaijan’s Shusha, Report’s Karabakh bureau informs.

The trip was organized by the "Families of the missing in Karabakh" public association. As part of the trip, among other things, it is planned to visit a mass grave found on the territory of the Shusha prison.

The trip is attended by 46 family members of Azerbaijanis who are considered missing.

In August, a mass grave was discovered on the territory of the Shusha prison. As a result of the excavations, the bones of 17 people were found, 11 of which were found intact, and six were in the form of separate fragments of the skeleton.

Until that time, mass graves were found in the liberated villages of Sarijali in the Aghdam district, Dashalti in the Shusha district, Edilli in the Khojavand district, Farrukh in the Khojaly district, Yukhari Seyidahmadli in the Fuzuli district, as well as in Kalbajar, Aghdam and other settlements.
