Date of municipal elections in Azerbaijan unveiled

Baku. 26 December. REPORT.AZ/ The date of municipal elections to be held in Azerbaijan in 2019 has been announced.

Report informs that the elections will be held on December 27.

It was reminded in the calendar of working times norm and production approved by the Decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population that according to the Electoral Code, the term office of municipalities is 5 years. Municipal elections are appointed by the Central Election Commission and a decision on appointing municipal elections must be officially published in mass media within 2 days from its adoption. December 27, 2019 is considered as the Municipal Elections Day,  unless it is officially announced for the calculation of the working time norm for 2019.
