“In order for Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin to understand the new reality and accept the laws of the Azerbaijani state, there is a need for meetings. Now in the post-war period, we can hold various meetings between the communities,” Report informs, citing Chairwoman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women, and Children Hijran Huseynova, telling a conference on the role of women in post-conflict restoration.
The committee chairwoman recalled that the 30-year-long Armenian occupation is over.
“An important issue is to increase the economic activities of women, who make up half of the country's population, to involve them in the management and decision-making process. It also means the economic empowerment of our state. For this, along with state institutions, various women's organizations, private structures, and non-governmental organizations are constantly working.
"The implementation of such activities is important not only in terms of meeting the various needs of the population, who will return to the territories liberated from the occupation but also in terms of creating new jobs, providing employment, improving the social welfare of the population, and developing the economy as a whole,” she stressed.
