Azerbaijan unveils number of foreigners with refugee status

"There were 480 requests for readmission last year. That means a drop of 15% (567), compared to 2018," Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov said today at a press conference on the results of 2019.
Report quotes him as saying there were 457 readmissions last year: "That number was 464 compared to 2018."
Huseynov added that 404 foreigners were granted refugee status in 2019: "This is a 7 percent increase compared to 2018. Of them, 43 are the citizens of Iran, 30 are from Afghanistan, five from Libya, three from Pakistan, and two from South Africa.
