Sahil Gasimov: Ilham Aliyev’s speech at Shusha congress is of great importance

“The speech by President Ilham Aliyev on April 22 at the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha, the tasks set before us are of great importance to us,” President of the Congress of European Azerbaijanis Sahil Gasimov told Report.

He said that Azerbaijan's liberation of lands from occupation is perceived ambiguously in Europe: “Armenians are still given preference for religious and other factors. We, as representatives of the Azerbaijani lobby, must constantly deal with these issues in the political plane, establish joint work with the European Parliament and the European Commission, political parties. We must constantly inform that this war was waged only for the liberation of our lands. Azerbaijanis are a peace-loving nation. Azerbaijan must bring the victory won in battles to a peak in the political plane.”
