Report informs that Shmaelov visited Shusha within the trip organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
A native of the Guba district of Azerbaijan, Ben Zion said that the historic victory in the Patriotic War makes all Azerbaijanis living in Israel proud:
"I wish that we will see Karabakh again in its former glory, that life will return to its ordinary course, and that the population will move to their ancestral home. I believe this will happen soon, and next time we come here we will visit the homes of those people in each liberated village."
